Since COVID19, the integration of technology-driven processes has been adopted by many businesses over a range of industries including the education sector.
Educational institutes, corporates, professionals and students have had to find new ways of learning and teaching as a direct result of this changing landscape. That’s where education platforms come in.

Right now, our education platform has comprehensive coverage of Dentistry from beginner learnings right through to advanced modules. We will be implementing our Nursing content early 2023 and have plans to go into Engineering as our next academic area.

Aside from bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, Immersify has been designed so that it promotes active learning. The make-up of the topics within Immersify usually consist of a lesson, whether text-focused or animations, a practical experience and/or quiz (MCQs or VMCQs). This is to provide you with a holistic approach to learning and ability to understand a topic, you then apply your theory to practise with the practical experience and/or the quiz.

Immersify Web 💻, we listened to our community
As touched on in the title of this section, the main purpose for developing the web version of the Immersify Platform was to overcome the minute pain points in which our community had with the Immersify app. Not only this, but having our content available via the web, provides students and professionals with even more accessibility to our content and resources.
Additionally, as our platform is a helpful resource for educators, the availability of web allows us to unlock important elements in teaching such as assessment tools and reports.
In a nutshell, here are the objectives we had in mind when creating Immersify Web:

What are the differences between Immersify and Immersify Web?
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, the main difference is that Immersify is our application, and Immersify Web, you guessed it, is our web version of our application. To dive further into the differences, here are the educational resources that you can find on each version:
Note: Immersify Web is still relatively new so additional content is getting added regularly.
When we released Immersify Web, a lot of questions were asked whether the credentials are the same for the Immersify app, and the answer is that they are! Not only did we want to release something new that overcame the pain points for our community, but we also wanted to make it as frictionless as possible. Having the same credentials means that you can pick up where you left off on each version.
With this in mind, our subscription model Immersify Premium is also multi-platform; meaning you can use Premium on both web and app. If you don’t know, you may be asking yourself what Immersify Premium is, but more on this later.

This resource within Immersify leads nicely off the back of our AR resources because they come hand-in-hand. Using simulated clinical settings and scenario-based learning, you can exposure yourself to ‘real-life’ experiences and learn in a safe environment. These resources are beneficial to your learning as they develop your real-time decision making; which enhances your critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Challenge Feature
To summarise this unique feature, it works like an onboarding journey for our new users. But, it is not exclusive to new users, existing Immersifyers can also access this within Immersify. Our challenge feature has been designed to give an idea as to the different content available on Immersify; it also allows you to try some of our Immersify Premium content for free.
Interactive Animations
To provide even more engagement with our educational resources, you can interact with our detailed animations. You can engage with the animations by zooming in and out, rotating the model and speeding up the audio content if you want to. Why do we love this feature? Because it you to take time to digest complex models and procedures – allowing you to learn your own way.
Detailed Imagery & Diagrams
Of course, with an education platform, one of the most important elements to the content is the intricacy of models, structures and the accuracy of them both. By ensuring this, the resources available are as realistic as possible and give you a more accurate picture of how something looks.
If we were to refer to our dentistry content, Implantology specifically, understanding the different types of implants, their composition and how to undergo the procedure, is an extremely complex dentistry topic and requires a great deal of accuracy. Now, if you were to use an educational resource that didn’t represent this process correctly, this could have an impact on your learning and understanding of the topic.
These resources tend to get overlooked as they are not seen as a ‘cool’ or ‘exciting’ feature, but they are fundamental to your learning. At Immersify, we have a specialist team of content creators who develop the models, imagery and diagrams, or what we call assets, within the Immersify Platform.
MCQs & Visual MCQs
What’s the difference? 🤔
MCQs, or multiple-choice questions, are your traditional learning method that we know you love – testing your knowledge is a vital component of learning and digesting information. Now, VMCQs are an Immersify creation. They are the same concept of MCQs but you answer questions based off detailed and high-quality visuals, hence the V in VMCQs.
Scenario-based learning
Scenario-based learning is a traditional teaching method and is used in most course deliveries. But what is the main drawback of this current teaching method? The fact that you have to read a case over 1, 2, 5, or even 10 pages long! This isn’t efficient for most – as it takes a lot of time to take in this information. Aside from fitting this into your busy schedule, we know from experience, that students prefer to do this learning style in a deep-focus session where they can spend time learning from their answers, whether correct or wrong.
Within Immersify, we provide this learning in a more effective way. We provide you with a summarised case which is supported by visuals and therefore makes the key information quicker to digest. Once you have gone through the ‘scene setting’ you then get presented with a set of questions which you must complete an action in response to these questions. Once you have completed this activity, you are then presented with an overview of what you did well, what you could have done better and how your decisions impacted the action.
